TRL9 Limited is a research and development company based in the North East of England. We specialise in developing technical solutions and methods of application in surface engineering, advanced coating, and materials. TRL9 Limited’s core industrial sectors include: Defence, Aerospace, Automotive, Steel Making and Metals Refining, Energy and Renewables, Medical and the Food Industry.
Portfolio
TRL9 has a portfolio of research and development projects many of which address societal needs through applied innovation. Our projects are categorised by Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) and their proximity to a product market launch.
People
TRL9’s team is dedicated to the research, development and commercialization of applied innovation and technology. In addition to this we have many industrial partners including coating manufacturers, end users and we help emerging and enabling sectors by incorporating TRL9 Limited’s technology and innovations.
Place
Research and development are at the heart of the company’s facilities with two well equipped laboratories at its North Shields site. All TRL9 Limited technologies are available for commercialisation and licensing under a Technology Transfer Agreement. For further information we would be more than happy to offer you a consultation.
